MIKE PERRY

Mike Perry is a bass player for Brigade Band.  He got his start in music back in 1971 with his brother, Billy Perry, and good friend, David Bonham, in a band called the Bluegrass Review.  At that time, the boys ranged in age from ten to sixteen years-old.  Although they were very young, they strived to be as professional as the musicians who inspired them, such as the band Country Gentleman and other musical entertainers, such as Charlie Waller, Ricky Skaggs, Bill Emerson, Jerry Douglas, J.D. Crow, Tony Rice, and Keith Whitley and the “New Grass Revival”.

Throughout the years, Mike has performed with, and at times recorded with, talent ranging from Chubby Wise, Mack Wiseman, Jerry Douglas, Vince Gill, and Jimmy Hinley.  Mike feels truly blessed to have been a part of those sessions and will treasure those memories always.  Now, many years later, he finds himself back together in a band that plays traditional and contemporary style music. So once again, you will find David, Mickey, Tina, Virgil and Mike together doing what they each love most in life.
